Reema narrates ‘disturbing’ ordeal of Afghan refugees

After reuniting together with her husband Dr Syed Tariq upon his return from Doha, veteran actor Reema has make clear the ‘disturbing’ state of affairs of Afghan refugees.

Reema took to her Instagram to share footage from her husband’s flight, alongside which, she detailed the “horrifying and anxious look” on the faces of the Afghan refugees, who didn’t the place they had been headed.

“Thank God my husband is again from Doha secure and sound. Nevertheless, what he advised me concerning the refugees could be very disturbing,” wrote the Nikkah star. “Infants, toddlers, pregnant ladies and aged needed to stand in 105 diploma for hours to get on the aircraft,” she added.

“Though I’m relieved that he’s residence, it perturbs me to know that the Afghan refugees had been nervous and distressed,” continued the actor, “to not know the place they had been headed and what their future holds.”

The US authorities had despatched Tariq to Doha to take care of the displaced Afghans, who had fled their nation – submit the Taliban takeover – to seek out refuge elsewhere.
