Businessmen have appealed to the federal government of Sindh to unseal and regularise hundreds of cottage industries in Mehran City which had been forcefully shuttered by the Sindh Constructing Management Authority (SBCA) following a fireplace incident at a manufacturing unit a while in the past.
In a joint assertion on Friday, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Business (KCCI) President Shariq Vohra and Businessmen Group (BMG) Chairman Zubair Motiwala identified that the industries had been sealed as a result of they had been working in a residential locality.
